Land Values Conference 2026

The Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers is hosting the 2026 Illinois Land Values Conference this spring. Here’s what you need to know.


Program Highlights

Opening Keynote: “Agricultural Update and the Road Ahead”

David Kohl, Ph.D. – Professor Emeritus, Virginia Tech

Get ahead of the curve with Dr. Kohl’s expert take on global trends and the U.S. economy. This session will connect the dots between today’s economic landscape and your business decisions on the ground. Dr. Kohl will share practical financial and management strategies to help you adapt, lead, and succeed—regardless of the economic cycle. Expect clear takeaways you can apply immediately to strengthen your operation’s resilience and profitability.

2026 ISPFMRA Industry Profile

A preview of the 2026 Industry Profile on the role and breadth of professional farm management and appraisal services across Illinois. Based on a recent member survey, this session will highlight acres and types of crops managed, who the landowners are, and the number of farms and their values as set by appraiser members of the organization.

A Summary of “The Land Values Report”

Luke Worrell, AFM, ALC, Worrell Land Services, and Gary Schnitkey, Ph.D., University of Illinois, will review the findings of the 2026 land values and lease trends survey. Those in attendance will be able to follow along as they will all receive a copy of the printed report that morning.

Advance registration is requested but not required—walk-ins that morning are welcome. The program gets underway at 8 a.m. and will conclude before noon.

  • $100 – Non-Members

Registration includes a complimentary print copy of the 2026 Illinois Land Values and Lease Trends Report.

The Land Values Report

Additional printed copies of the report will be available for purchase on-site only at $8 each or $240 for a case of 30. Otherwise, printed copies are $30 each or $600 per case, delivered. Orders can be placed now and distribution will begin on April 2—no distribution will be allowed prior to that date.

Electronic PDF copies of the complete report will be available as free downloads beginning April 2 at ispfmra.org/land-values-archive.
