The Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ISPFMRA) is excited to announce the 2024 Summer Tour, taking place in the Rochelle area from August 14-16. This three-day event promises to be an engaging and informative experience for all attendees.
The tour will kick off on Wednesday, August 14, with a Pioneer Welcome Reception at the Scalehouse Lounge from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. On Thursday, August 15, participants will depart from the hotel at 8:00 a.m. and visit several notable locations, including the Nachusa Grasslands/Conservancy in Franklin Grove, the John Deere Historic Site in Grand Detour, Woods Equipment in Oregon, and Kennay Farms Distilling, where dinner will be provided.
The final day of the tour, Friday, August 16, will require private autos. The day will begin with a breakfast featuring a guest speaker at the Flight Deck, followed by a visit to the Syngenta Research and Development Center in Malta, IL.
Registration fees for the tour are $85 for ISPFMRA members and their family members, and $100 for non-members. Lodging will be available at the Holiday Inn Express in Rochelle, with a special group rate of $139 per night for double queen or king rooms. The hotel reservation deadline is July 31, 2024.
