The Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ISPFMRA) has announced its new leadership team for the upcoming term, with Michael Lauher, AFM, stepping into the role of president. Lauher, an accredited farm manager with First Mid Ag Services in Mattoon, was elected during the organization’s annual meeting on February 6 in Peoria.
Joining Lauher in the executive team is Laura Enger of Farm Credit Illinois, who will serve as president-elect, and Nick Westgerdes, AFM, from Farmers National Company, who takes on the role of vice president. Dr. Gary Schnitkey from the University of Illinois will serve as secretary/treasurer, while Dr. Maria Boerngen of Illinois State University joins as academic vice president. Liz Strom, AFM, of Murray Wise Associates, LLC, rounds out the leadership team as immediate past-president.
