Beans & Barley Brews

Breakfast will be here in Ashkum as a group. Please bring a healthy appetite! Janie’s Mill

Janie’s Mill

Janie’s Mill is operated by the Harold Wilken family in Ashkum, IL. The mill takes wheat, corn, rye, and other grains from Janie’s Farm and produces high quality, organic flour for businesses and people to buy. Harold Wilken came up with the idea to develop the mill after he saw how far some of his organic grain had to travel to market.

Janie’s Farm

Janie’s Farm, located near Danforth, IL, is a 100% organic farming operation started in 2001 and named after Harold and Sandy Wilken’s late daughter Janie. The operation is over 2,500 acres of organic corn, soybeans, and small grains produced for Janie’s mill and organic livestock farms and other buyers of organic grains.
