Carroll Merry (at right) has been presented with the Service to Agriculture award by the Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers during the organization’s annual meeting held recently in Peoria, IL. Presenting the plaque is Dan Legner, ARA, past president of the Society.
Merry, who serves as ISPFMRA executive director, was cited for his years of promoting and enhancing the image of the organization to the public including bringing the International Farm Management Congress to Illinois, as well as his general leadership in matters related to the Chapter. Legner noted Merry’s involvement with producing the annual Illinois Land Values Conference and the production of the Illinois Land Values and Lease Trends Report and the subsequent publicity the event generates for the Chapter. The Service to Agriculture award has been given by the group since 1940 and is the highest honor it bestows upon non-members. Merry is president of Countryside Marketing, based in Menomomee Falls, WI.
