Rick Hiatt, AFM, ARA, (at left) a partner with Hiatt Farm Management, Pontiac, IL, has been named to the Hall of Fame for the Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. Presenting the plaque citing the achievement is Dan Legner, ARA, past president of the organization.
The award is the highest given to members of the Society. Legner noted Hiatt’s long service to the Society including serving in various officer capacities including president, managing the Chapter’s Memorial Scholarship program, currently coordinating the organization’s investment funds and serving as the District III Vice President for the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, the national parent organization for the Illinois Chapter. He also serves as the liaison with the Community Bankers Association of Illinois.
Hiatt holds both the Accredited Farm Manager and Accredited Rural Appraiser designations from ASFMRA. The presentation was made at the ISPFMRA annual meeting held recently in Peoria, IL.
